I'm not sure who is more excited for the pool this year them or me! Okay, probably them. But that makes me excited because they ALL love to swim this year. In the past the pool has been somewhat of a high maintenance experience for me. Whether I had a baby or toddler or weak swimmer it was never very relaxing. Plus Nate has always been such a homebody he would be whining to go back home after an hour! Super grumpy! But this year I have seen a HUGE change in him. He can burn the midnight oil as good as Luke now and this year he LOVES the pool! When we were in Maui he even tried to swim without his floaty a few times. Also when we were there he declared that he would jump off the diving board this year. Well, opening day (for us anyway) at the pool he made good on that declaration!
Here is his first attempt. He wanted Chance there to catch him, but started going by himself after that. Way to go Nate!
Even Bradley can hang at the pool for quite awhile. He takes breaks here and there, but for the most part just entertains himself with squirt guns and boogie boards and he is really good at swimming with his floaty so he is totally independent in the pool. For some reason he likes wearing goggles. That's my goofball!
And of course my little waterdog Luke keeps himself thoroughly entertained for hours!
I am so grateful that we have a place to go all summer where the boys get to burn off their endless energy!
School isn't out yet, but the boys are begging to go now anytime they see the sun pop out! Looking forward to our summer fun!
