Luke is not only a really good writer, but he is a funny one too. He brought this page home from school one day and when I read his little comic in the upper left corner I cracked up! He was supposed to give examples of how a pet can be a friend. He drew a picture of man with his guide dog. The man asks, "Can't you go any faster?" and the dog's thought bubble says, "No, you're blind!" but it's speech bubble says, "woof, woof". The other day he came up with a joke, "How do you capture a lion? With a food chain!"
Nate decided to make himself a daily schedule:
When the Jensen's were over for a Christmas game night, Luke was pretty wired and being obnoxious. We warned him a few times to calm down, but finally had to send him to his room when he knocked a bowl of pork out of Randi's hand by accident. When he gets in trouble he gets pretty dramatic and likes to either punish himself or try to make us feel bad for him. He wrote this note as if it were me writing it...
I told him that we all make mistakes and maybe he should just write me an apology note instead of feeling sorry for himself. This is his second draft. A little better I think. LOL

One morning I opened my computer and found this. He told me he wrote Mom or Dad because he wasn't sure who would find it.
When Christmas was finally over Nate was not ready to let it go. He insisted on making cards for each member of our family and wrapping them for us to open. He also begged Chance to take him to the store so he could buy his brothers some gifts with his own money. What a sweetheart!
