My little chubby snuggle bug is now a ripped little acrobat! He still gives me lots of snuggles, though his cheeks don't quite have the squishiness they did before! Luckily he still gives me lots of random "I love you Mom"s and blows me lots of kisses that melt my heart. I mean who's heart wouldn't be melted by this handsome little boy? Nate is mature beyond his years and loves making people happy. He is skilled in most everything he does and he has high expectations. Maybe that's why he's good at a lot of things because he will put in the time to practice and get better. He gets passionate about something and spends all his free time doing it.. until he moves on to another passion. Puzzles, reading, writing, drawing, Pokemon. He stays very focused on whatever he is into at the time. This wouldn't be an honest post about Nate if I didn't bring up his "worry brain." It can be challenging for him and us at times but he works really hard to try to fight off the fears that he has. He worries about making mistakes and getting in trouble, which is ironic because he cares so much about doing things the right way and following the rules! He reminds me a lot of my Dad. He has inner confidence yet he is humble. And they both worry too much! And they are both a few of my favorite people! Oh and his sense of humor is so cute and clever! I LOVE his giggle. I know middle children have a reputation of being somehow forgotten and though he may not be as much of an attention seeker as his other brother's he has the kind of personality you just can't help but pay attention to! He is just so darn loveable!
The day before his birthday we went to Chance's parents house to celebrate Luke, Nate and Borne's birthdays.
The morning of his birthday Nate was excited to open his gifts. Like his father, he loves getting new things! Lately he has been into Pokemon cards.
For Nate's family fun to day he chose Jump, Rattle and Roll, a movie and Elevated Sports. We went to Jump Rattle and Roll first and the boys had a great time as always. Then we went to go see "Born in China." It was a Disney Nature film that followed 3 different animals in the wild. It was well done, but very true to nature and did not really have a happy ending. :( At one point when it seemed like a little monkey was being rejected by his family Bradley burst into tears! It was so sad!
After we recovered emotionally, we ate some lunch and then headed to Elevated Sports. This time Nate got in on the flipping action!
The last time we went Bradley refused to try the Laser Maze, but this time he wanted to do it with his brothers. It was pretty cute watching the boys on the monitor sneak around like ninjas trying to avoid the beams of light.
We grabbed some McDonald's (Nate's favorite) and then Taco Time (Luke's favorite so Nate made sure Luke would be happy to!) and headed back home for cupcakes! Happy Birthday Nate! You are one of a kind!
