It's soccer season and since Nate quit midway last year we decided to give him one more chance at it, this time with Dad coaching his team. We felt bad last year because Chance coached Luke's but not Nate's team so we think that had something to do with Nate's lack of enthusiasm. So this year Coach Chance is pulling double duty coaching Luke and Nate's teams! Luckily the practice/games are back to back, however it does make for a long morning for Bradley (and Mommy who is trying to keep Bradley happy). We are on the field from 8:45am to 11:45am every Saturday! Here they are ready for their first practice/game!
Here is Nate at his first game giving a good effort! So far this year he has spurts where he really goes for the ball and other times he just sort of let's the other kids do the work. He is known to score for the other team if he has a good shot at their goal. Just can't resist booting it in whether it's his goal or not. LOL.
Nate scoring!
Luke has come a long way this year. When he is making an effort he's a great soccer player. His first game he showed a lot of enthusiasm and hustle, but as the season has gone on he is becoming less and less interested in playing soccer. I think he would just rather be doing his make-believe play. Though he has the skill for sports, he seems to lack the aggression and competitiveness. I think this kid may just be a born thespian! Here he is at his first game doing an awesome job!
Luke Scoring! He actually had like 6 really good drives to the goal the first game!
