Luke is really excited for Soccer this year. He has loved it every year. We were excited that Nate was finally old enough to play too! He was excited too, and the first practice went fine. He was a little shy and quiet. He is one of the shortest kids on his team, but it is 3 and 4 year olds and he is 3. He kept walking so slow to "dribble" the ball to keep it close to him. It was pretty funny. Here he is doing one of the drills.
Unfortunately, I think he wasn't really pleased that Luke was on a different team that Chance coached. We feel kind of bad that Chance wasn't able to do both their teams this year, so we might have to figure something out next year. However, Nate wanted nothing to do with the following practice and game, so we took him off the team. I don't want to force him to play if he doesn't want to. Maybe he'll be more into it this year. He is still pretty young.
Luke has a great time. He seems to have a little more interest in going to the ball, but he still is kind of timid.
He was very upset however, because the team voted for their name to be the "Fire Snakes" and Luke really had his heart set on his suggestion: the "Blue Whales". Life lesson for him I guess to handle disappointment!
