Family Vacation 2017

Since our mortgage/down payment future is unknown at the moment we tried to plan a family getaway that was on the affordable side. We were already heading to Chelan to join our life group at Mike and Jennie's river house for the weekend so we decided to extend it and take the boys to Spokane for the first time. We left early Friday morning so that we could hit Slidewaters for the day before we went to the river house.

It was a hot day, but perfect for a waterpark!

The lazy river is a favorite. Thankful for a husband who has much more patience for going round and around around with these kiddos!

Nate loved the tube ride! We went on this one many times!

Lunch time!

The boys begged to get tattoos and they were very proud of them!

We stayed in the loft at the River House. Thankfully the house had air conditioning however we were definitely in the warmest spot. It was a little getting groggy boys down the ladder at night to pee, but all and all it worked out well! There was so much for the kids to do the next day. We spent the day just hanging with friends!

All the boys went tubing for the first time! They of course loved it! Lots of screaming and giggling!

Brad was so exhausted, I think he napped for at least 2 hours!

The giant rope swing was a favorite of all the kids!

All the kids together for a picture. There actually were 3 other families that were not able to make it. Now that would have been a large group!

I love making memories with friends!

We spent Friday and Saturday night there and then packed up for Spokane/Deer Park Sunday morning. These boys were running on fumes from two long days and late nights! Bradley was hanging in there okay thanks to his Saturday nap! We unloaded at my Aunt Gail's. We stayed in the game room which was awesome. Lots of room for us to spread out and very private! We had planned this stay because the Fodge were going to be there and we planned on going to Silverwood with them on Monday. But before that we met up with our old college friend Tim Snell and his wife Jen. We hadn't seen them in almost 10 years! They had us over for dinner. It was so fun to catch up and meet each other kids!

Then we were up early Monday morning for Silverwood! Luckily it was only about an hour away from my aunt's house!

Ready for our fun day with the Fodges!

We had so much fun. We wish we could have tried everything but there was too much to do. We were able to do the theme park and the water park. It was so much fun spending the day with the Fodges too. At the end all three boys one prizes too!

They were a bit tired driving home! I think we got back to my aunt's house around 11pm.

Luckily after going, going, going we had absolutely nothing planned the next day, which was great because that's pretty much what we did! The boys watched TV all day with the Faith and Addy and Chance and I visited with the adults. It was a much needed decompression day!

We did muster up the energy to go grab a quick dinner in Spokane and stop at one of Chance and my favorite spots! The boys got some froyo at Didiers! We also drove them by our first apartment!

The boys definitely did not want our vacation to end but it was time to hit the road. They said there goodbyes. Even to the dogs who they loved meeting! We did make one more stop at our friend's from Chance's Eastern days, Conn and Angie. They had us over for breakfast and we visited and got to catch up with them.

A final stop in Leavenworth on the home stretch!

A much needed ice cream break!

We had such a fun and full vacation filled with lots of fun but best of all lots of family and friends!
